Pet Cremation Services
You have two options when choosing to have your animal cremated. If you choose a private cremation your animal will be cremated alone and all of their ashes will be returned to you. If you choose a group cremation your animal is cremated with other deceased pets and no ashes are returned. Both procedures must be scheduled.
Private Cremation
Your pet is cremated by itself with no other animals. All of the pet’s remains (ashes) are returned to the owners. We return the remains in a tin can or various style urns per the owner’s request.
General / Mass Cremation
Your animal is cremated WITH other animals. There is no way to place more than one animal in a crematory at a time and the remains not contact the other animals. Particles will be blown around due to the air flow. No ashes are returned to the owner because there is no way to guarantee which pet they are from. Some places will place each animal in individual trays or place dividers between animals, but there is no way to 100% guarantee that remains aren’t mixed when multiple animals are in the chamber at the same time.
How long does it take?
It typically takes 2 to 3 weeks for remains to be ready for pick up.
Why does it take this long?
When an animal is cremated alone the machine has to run a full cycle which can take several hours. The heavier an animal weighs, the longer it takes. This explains the price increase based on weight. Only so many cremations can be done in a day, so depending on the amount of animals we have it can take time to get to yours. Cremations are done in the order the animals come in. Running cycles of multiple pets is more time efficient and that is why the cost is less.
